At Quantock Art and Framing, we pride ourselves in offering a full breakdown of services local to you. That means we can frame your piece from start to finish at our Taunton workshop which includes our in depth design consultation and also just supply the components.

These are the components we offer:

• Mounting

  With a vast range of colours all our mounting offering is Ph neutral and acid free as standard. Our standard hinging tapes are quality too, but if you need full protection we recommend upgrading to our conservation hinging tapes. We also offer barrier papers to ensure no acidity penetration.

• Glazing

  We offer many glazing options to suit all requirements and budgets. we have a separate page on this, linked above.

• Kit Frames

  If you are a artist in need of back up frames to ship sold works or have a smaller budget, our kit frames provide a perfect solution. These frames are still bespoke with our quality materials but require the fitting and finishing stages at home.

• Cleaning up old framed pieces

  After some years of service a framed work can sometimes need a little TLC. This can be anything from glass being dirty to backings falling off. These are better to bring to us for consultation and quotations.

• Canvas Stretching

  We stretch canvases to bespoke sizes which means you can maintain maximum image. We offer three sizes of bars 20mm, 30mm and 42mm.

• Drymounting

  Most photography is very noticeable when you have movement in the paper. Although its natural for paper to move through humidity transfer, its certainly visually jarring once noticed. Drymounting is a process that bonds the paper to a thicker substrate to give a flat finish. This process does carry some risk dependant on the condition of the paper before we start and is permanent.

• Getting works ready to ship

  Sometimes you might need to ship framed pieces nationally or globally. We can offer advice and package your work ready to ship.

• Digitization

  In addition to our full framing service and components, we also offer Digitization. If you have a old photo or artwork that you would like to be able to print copies from and to have a back up of the original, then this service is for you.

  Using professional camera equipment, we provide the highest resolution copy that is ready to print largescale. We also can go further with the image with making repairs digitally to scratches, marks and recolouring.
